Hi I am a new member and have 12 hens and a rooster. I got on this site because I had two prolapse in 1 week. One I took to vet and have 400 vet bill. Second one trying to treat but prolapse won't stay in. How long should I give it to stay in ?

Sorry to hear of your problems. What breeds are they? High production breeds/crosses tend to have a lot of female problems. I have heard that during the recovery stage it's best to keep them in a darkened room, so they are less likely to try and lay more eyes.

Both are New Hampshire reds. I do have them in dark and they haven't been laying
