Good afternoon. I am new to backyardchickens but have been reading the site without being a member for the past two months.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
we got our first 2 chickens in april - white leghorns - after several friends who have successfully been raising backyard chickens for some time talked up into in... suddenly 2 became 18 of various breeds. I absolutely love having them.

I have been using the site to search for answers to all of the questions I have had since becoming a chicken ownder
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Keeping up with our three active kids and all of their sports
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Our only other pet is a guinnea pig. We have three kids, my husband and I are both physical therapists. The idea of getting fresh eggs from our backyard is what first prompted us to go chicken.
