Hi my name's ambrosia I'm a newbie chicken owner I have 4 hens that were hatched in March of this year. I have 2 sex links I believe a barred rock and I think a amaracauna but I'm unsure. We live in colorado and let our chickens free roam in our back yard with our 3 dogs and they co mingle greatly. We wanted chickens as we buy our meat from locals so we can try and stick to farm to table ideas which I find is more nutritious and gives our kiddos a better experience of being thankful for where their meals come from. 2 of our girls are laying eggs as were impatiently waiting for the other 2! Thanks for adding me! I've attached a few pictures and even would like some help figuring out their breeds. One photo has a picture of a Rhode island red that we had to give away as it was a rooster

Hi and welcome! I'm new myself and can't really help much with the breeds but there are some really experienced people on here who will Great to see yours roaming free...did I spot a beagle in your photos? My 2 roam with our beagle in the back garden, she just gets a bit too excited every now and then and expects them to dog play! The hens just give her a warning peck and that's that! Look forward to reading your posts
