Hi all,
I am a new member. I just started my first flock 4 weeks ago with day old baby chicks! I have 6 chickens, 2 Buff Orpington, 2 ISA Brown, and 2 "Hoover Black" which I think just means they were black and came from Hoover Hatchery. I live in Roswell Ga. One of my Buffs is definitely looking like a rooster, which isn't allowed in my area, so will be posting soon to get advice on how to deal with that! Looking forward to being a member and getting to know some of you!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

You can post some pictures on the Breed or Gender Forum for opinions on your Buff Orp and if you have not already checked it out, I recommend the Learning Centre.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
