Since you have a rooster, are you going to hatch eggs?

We are not sure yet if we are going to hatch eggs yet. We might next year but don't have the setup for it right now. He came as a packaged deal with the hens.

BYC has two official hatch a longs. They are big and great learning experiences. The New Years Day Hatch a long will start in November and then the Easter Hatch a long starts before Easter.

Come watch the NYD Hatch a long and then maybe get an incubator for the Easter Hatch a long. It is great to start the year and Easter with baby chicks!

Awesome, then more than likely you won't be experiencing any winter weather related problems. Can you go the extra mile for us and provide a few coop photos for our far northern types to see? It is great you joined us and that was your main concern right out of the gate, and I am sure someone can either reassure you they will do great, or spot a potential problem.
