Hi everyone! I'm joining you from North Carolina, where my family and I have a farm raising beef cattle and feeder pigs. Other than the turkeys that my kids have raised for FFA, I have very little experience with poultry. I am now the proud owner/mom of 10 busy Pullets! 3 RIR and 7 Barred Rock. My first flock . My quest for knowledge of everything chicken kept leading me to this site, which has been very helpful, so here I am!
I love gardening, like to can, and hate housework!
I have three teenagers, a mess of cats, a spoiled old horse, and one giant dog.
I’m excited about my new adventure in chickens, I’m here to learn all that I can!

Welcome and I hope you will love your chickens as much as I do, I have one rhode island red, loving, inquisitive and independant, a barred rock, beautiful calm nature, and a sussex very chatty, but flighty. Working in the garden I am never alone and always have someone to talk to, they think they are a great help with the weeding, scratching etc although everything takes me longer to do as I have to wait for them to eat what they find first
