Hi,
My name is Colleen, we bought our first chickens about two years ago. At that time we got 5 chickens of various breeds: Rhode Island Red, Easter Eggers and one other which at the moment is lost in the back of my brain.
We lost one earlier this summer to a predator...our beloved Puff-puff as my grandson called her. The was the friendliest of the 5 and would actually jump in my husbands lap as he napped on his chair on the deck.
I have used this site and its information many times over the last two years for insight into coop design and wintering the birds. This is the first that I have found a need to really get some help from the group in the care.
