My name is Kathy and I have owned chickens for a little over a year, though small in number. I stumbled over this site when researching my hen's odd behavior. After checking all possibilities ( I am surprised she still looks at us!), we found out she was brooding. Was given eggs from a friend and now have 6 hens and one rooster. I noticed some leg (mites??) issues and will check out forums concerning that. I thought it was time to introduce myself and am looking forward to chatting with other owners!
