Hello all! My wife and I just got our first flock. Got them for egg laying and as pets for our children (12 & 6). We are starting out with 10 chicks (2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Sebright Bantams, 2 Old English Game Bantams & 4 Silkie Bantams). We are located in southwest Ohio (Cincinnati area).

Joined up so that we can learn everything about these birds. Important things for us are getting our German Shorthaired Pointer acclimated to them and protecting them from predators.

We bought the biggest coop we could find and I plan on Modifying it my self until this winter when I build a new coop. I have been doing a lot of searching on the forums and to this point it has been very helpful. Happy to be here!!
