Hi I'm Mini Ethel Daisy, I have just joined BYC I don't have any hens as yet but I'm getting 3 ex battery hens at the end of May and I am a total novice, this site was recommended to me by someone who already has hens and he said it has all the answers to chicken related issues, so when the girls arrive I will be posting like mad on here as I haven't got a clue. I have bought a couple of books which I hope to read before they get here, so thanks in advance for your help, advice and letting me become a member

Hi folks, nice to hear from you, I can't wait to get my girls, however looking through the site its a bit overwhelming looking at all the problems there are with health and predator problems, I live in the north of England the UK, so may be I won't have as many predators to worry about as people over in America, I've only ordered a small coop and run but I don't think i will be letting them out for a couple of weeks. I also have 5 small dogs which will have to be kept away from them until I'm sure they are safe to be around. thanks Mini Ethel Daisy x
 
Hi folks i haven't got used to the site BYC as yet, so please don't think me rude if i'm doing or not doing something, do you guys have any ideas on Chicken routines; feeding, cleaning, exercising wake up, bed times etc? it would be greatly received as i haven't got a clue, don't worry my chickens haven't arrived yet but i want to be ready when they get here at the end of May , thanks
