Good morning!

My family and I are new to chickens and currently have nine that we purchased on March 23.
We have three Rhode Island Reds, one Barred Rock, one that was labeled as Columbian Rock, one labeled Red Cross, two labeled as Ameraucana and one that is a mystery, but I think is a Brahma.

I came across BYC as I was doing research on pasty butt and general care.

My husband and I have been married 13 years and we have 4 children, ages 17, 11, 6 and 3. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever/Basset Hound mix who is 12 and a Great Dane who is 18 months. In my spare time (hahaha), I love to workout, read and, as a family, we own a kart racing team.

I can't wait to get my chickens outside next week when our coop is ready!

Welcome! :yesss: We are glad you joined our flock!
Jump right in and make yourself at home.
Double check the temperature in your brooder...too hot can cause pasty butt.
