You may want to post on one of the hatching threads. Do you mean the "yolk sac," is still attached? Is so it should dry up and fall off on it's own. Better to have chick alone till then so the other doesn't peck at it.

It had a yolk sac still attached so I left it in a cup with paper towels in the bottom of its shell overnight. It absorbed it but when I checked its intestines were out of its navel.
I ended up having to put it down because I could not get the intestines back in and it was starting to fade.

I have a buckskin quarter horse named Dixie, a red roan QH named Marvin, a blue roan QH named Willie, a paint named Gurty (short for Gertrude), a paint named Bullseye, a paint, Arabian, Shetland cross named Idaho, and lastly a really short white mule named Sherman.
