Good day.
I'm from Malmesbury in South Africa and new to incubate quail eggs. My first chicks hatch looks like lying on their stomach with legs backwards. What's wrong?
Greetings

Is the floor slippery? Can you out a towel or something for them to get a grip on.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens! We are glad you joined the flock!:frow BYC is a helpful site providing all the information you need to know about poultry! It looks to me like the quail originally hatched on the top of the netting/wire of the incubator and fell down at the bottom. I hope they are not hurt! Maybe it is just the way I am viewing the picture. Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
