Thürigian Bearded Bantam (Critically Endangered Breed)

Oh my, what a beautiful little bird! I'm just responding to Page 1 of this rhread, I'll go back and read the rest. I want to know what color your little fellow is but I'll probably find out as I read. They are adorable, really! I've not had bantams because of hawks, but if I did ... ! :love
Chamois spangled
Yeah, most them have rose combs over here too. I think in about two generations I'd be able to line breed them back to Baby Bee or split them off with other Thüringer roosters to get Duckwing and other varieties.

That's super cool! 1 person can legally take up to 12 eggs to the states with them, and I usually go to Texas every summer to visit family so if be able to bring 12 eggs with me to stabilize a good breeding flock of a couple different color varieties of the Thüringer bantam!
Where did you learn that? It's not actually legal to take up to 12 eggs to the states unless you follow strict importation procedures.

One of the hens is laying some tiny tiny tiiiny eggs and I weight her egg from yesterday and today to show you how much they weigh in grams. I'm assuming it's not safe to hatch such tiny eggs?

Just for fun/ comparison. Both of these eggs are from LF birds. The blue one on the left is from an adult hen and weighs 76 g. The brown one on the left is from a spring pullet and weighs 47, about like yours. Since she is young I would not try to hatch this egg.

My Easter Egger lays huge eggs, bigger than the Buckeye eggs.
