Smart move doing all your research before getting chickens!
 
Congratulations on joining so you can get educated BEFORE the first chicks! That's a great way to do it. Not necessarily the way I did it. I have learned a lot that's helped me take better care of my flocks (chickens, runner ducks and a pair of geese).

I am pretty new to this group, but I lurked online for a long time, and being able to participate is so much better. Welcome and good luck in the spring.
