Hi, I have been reading this site for years, but finally decided to sign up. I have a free ranging flock currently consisting of a bunch of Rhode Island Red hens, an old Buff Orpington roo named Foghorn, several feed store Buff Orpington hens, a young Sumatra roo called Toothless, some white feathered pullets whose breeds I have forgotten, a few mixes, and twoAyam Cemani chicks from a local fair in the brooder. I have been doing the chicken thing for a few years now, but have yet to butcher, breed (on purpose), or incubate anything and would like to learn all that I can about chickens.

Glad you joined!! I think no matter how long you have chickens, there will always be more to learn... and the learning process is a great adventure! Good luck with your flock!

Hello and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 (there's a guide on how to include your location under your avatar - including your location is very helpful). You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes
