How did you end up with a RIR in with your NHRs?

So my oldest and I were at the feed store and my wife was on the way to get us. I had a bit of research saying RIR were good starter chickens, but I missed the bit about needing other chicken companions. So I bought my daughter and I the one RIR and had a fun talk with my surprised wife. We got a mile down the road and turbed around saying we needed to get another.

Well we get back to the store and someone had bought all 30+ RIRs in the 10 minutes we were gone. The lady said the NHRs should be okay together. So here we are.

That explains that! Very good move getting your single chick some company. Enjoy them.
