Welcome! How interesting - how do Japanese quail differ? Do you keep quail for the eggs?

They are a small game bird which is ideal if you have limited outdoor space. I believe they are the smallest egg sold in stores in the UK and are considered as somewhat of a delicacy.

"The Japanese quail, Coturnix japonica, is a species of Old World quail found in East Asia. First considered a subspecies of the common quail, it was distinguished as its own species in 1983."
