My name is Charles
I am completely new to raising Chickens and Ducks.
I have been reading articles and helping my brother take care of his birds.
He keeps telling me that I do not have to do what I have read but I want to be sure before I buy some chicks

I am thinking about getting some Easter Eggers and some Australorps to start, about 25 of each and some Rouen and Pekin Ducks.
I am going to build a brood box for them while I build a coop and pen.
I already know that the pen will have a top on it because we are having a problem with bobcats killing my brothers ducks. His chicks are safe inside the coop but we could not put the ducks inside because they were attacking the chicks.
