Hi everyone, my name is Velda and I come from Lancashire, England. I only have a small garden so my flock consists of 1 cuckoo maran and 2 Barnevelder pullets, I love their colours and quirky characters. My new pullets have which I bought from my local auction have been pecked and are a little bald and bloody on their backs but hopefully I will solve that from a few suggestions from my now fellow members. That's all for now, Velda.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Good luck with your flock, sometimes it takes them awhile to relax and heal. Mix new birds in slowly over a couple of weeks instead of immediate introduction, this will help with less aggression. Always intevene if the battles get too harsh.

Welcome to our community! :)

Hello, Velda, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Did they come to you that way or has it happened since you brought them home? Lots of space and good nutrition and they should do well.
Hello, DobieLover, the pullets came to me this way, have cleaned the wounds and put on antiseptic cream and sprayed with a no-peck spray. Not sure if my cuckoo maran is making it worse. Going to get some purple spray tomorrow and apply that too and hope that works. thanks Velda.
