I'm not new to raising chickens, but I am new to living in the UP of Michigan and raising chickens. This is a new world for me and I have lots to learn.
I am 77 years old, raised on a farm in Mississippi and recently moved to the UP. We have a small farm in the town of Garden, MI and hope to raise chickens and rabbits.
We have a big garden and lots of apple trees.
Will check with local authorities about raising chickens in town and if possible will build a chicken house that will protect my chickens this winter.
