Hi... y'all
Just hit my first 6 chickens, raised them in a tub in my livingroom, whew won't do that again lol. They don't smell so great lol. Moved them outside when they started "flying" out of the nursery. They are doing very well, like the hutch...2 for the first time roosted themselves in it tonight for the first time, the other 4 we had to put in it still. They haven't all figured out the get back in part.
Any tips, I'm new to North Carolina so the native wildlife is new and scary to me.. snakes and such and not sure what I need to know in regards to my flock. Still not sure if I have all hens or not but I'm thinking so. Pics were taken March 27th.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens, the pulse beat of the chicken community.

As I am typing this the weather man is advising there is a severe storm going through MY village. Oy!! Hope it moves out of here fast. I can hear some hail falling as well as thunder.

Hello, and welcome! Glad that you joined! I agree with the other's in that you will need a bigger sized coop for them for when they get bigger, and it would be nice for them to have a secure covered run. It should be covered so that the hawk's can't fly in to get your flock.
