Hello! My name is Teri and I have been teaching for 16 years, I am a mom of three kids (13, 12, and 7), and I have had chickens for 8 years. Last month when our school district went to distance learning I decided to teach the life cycle of a chick online. I ordered from Amazon, and I think I ordered through Backyard Chickens. My delivery came March 28th, and that's when we put them in their incubator. Yesterday my eggs pipped, and at 2:30am one hatched, and the second one hatched at 7:15am this morning. We're waiting for the 5 others to hatch. One of the eggs did not get fertilized. My students, my own children, and friends on Facebook are loving what they are learning from my posts about this process of incubating these eggs. It brings a little excitement during this time of quarentine. I never knew hatching eggs could be so fascinating!
