In the Brooder
Hello, everyone!
I’m brand new to chickens. My wife has experience raising layers, but this is all new to me. I posted my first questions here:

Not sure I posted that in the right place, but I’m looking forward to learning all I can. I have already learned a lot, but I’m not very good at wording my questions in the search function. I’m located in WV and have 9 Rhode Island Red pullets. Hoping to add this hobby for healthy addition to a more self-sufficient lifestyle. I plan eventually to raise chickens for both eggs and meat. (From what I can tell the latter isn’t too controversial here, but I know harvesting any living animal is a rocky subject on the internet.) Anyway, thanks for reading!
