(1)Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens. First timer here. I got them about 2 weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 7. We lost one sadly. It was the runt of them and hadn’t grown since we got it home.
(3) What breeds do you have?
ISA Brown
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs and having them for food
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy knitting (total beginner that that too) and watching Netflix
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my boyfriend and his daughter. We have 2 cats, one who has decided he is the chicken protector and another who wants nothing to do with them. I work as an STNA at a nursing home.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC while looking for DIY coops. I used one of the templates as a base and then tweaked it a bit. I kept coming back to the site with questions and figured I may as well join.
