Sorry for the looong delay in answering..........we have Australorps, Amber Links, Leghorns and Ameraucanas. We have 16 chicks, 13 weeks old. We now have one that is crowing; very quiet and muffled sounding. Don't know if we have a Roo or a crowing Pullet. They were all suppose to be females. Bought them from a hatchery with a guarantee. Any ideas??

Hoping you have an idea............we have one that is now crowing a very quiet and muffled sounding crow. Only does this early morning when we open their windows, just before sunrise. hoping we don't have a rooster. They are 13 weeks old.

Hatcheries can make mistakes and many of them will take birds back. Do you have any photos of suspect? Sounds like a cockerel though.

Good Morning! I am a new member. We have never had chickens before so this is all new to us. My sister in Arizona has had chickens for 3 or 4 years now. She loves them! We will be picking our chicks up on May 20th (2020). We have 12 chicks coming. In the process of building our coop will post pics when we are finished.
