Hey everyone..I'm Cory. My wife and I just got our new chicks in today( a day earlier than expected!). We are new to owning chickens although it is something I have wanted to do for a long time. We waited until we finally got a house out 8n a rural area with a few acres of land. We got 9 chickens of mixed breeds from TSC.The brown egg layer package.We've spent the last 2 hours looking through chick identifier sites trying our best to figure out what we have. We think we have a barred rock, maybe a black sex link, a Buff Orpington, maybe a silver laced Wyandotte and then maybe a few Tetra tints. The last ones were not on the list of possibles they give you but after reading through a few threads it seems to be our best guess.We have two children left at home a 13 and an 11year old who are so excited. They have been doing all the research with us the whole way. We also have two parrots in the family. An African Grey and an Amazon. ( we love birds, lol). Anyways, we look forward to reading a ton of posts ( searching for answers before asking repetitive questions) and just talking chickens!
