Hi
I have 4 adult hens- 2- Easter layers-Americana’s, 1-fancy feather footed hen, 1-white leghorn we rescued. Then I got 11 baby chicks from the feed store about 7 weeks ago. They are all separated. Mixed- RIR, black sexlink, 2-Easter Eggers.Americanas. We have lost 2 of the chicks recently. I’m fighting some
Kind of sickness with them. I’ve given them powdered medicine for cows the feed store suggested that is a antibiotic they also
Used for poultry. They also said to syringe Gatorade in them to get them hydrated quickly. I cleaned all cages and bleached all feeders and watered. So that’s our story and I love the chickens and don’t want to lose
Anymore. They are so sweet and make me happy.

I took 2 of them to the vet this morning and she has them now to see what’s going on with them. She works with Chickens a lot and very knowledgeable. She is tubing them now to keep them hydrated and nutrients in them and taking stool samples. We aren’t complete newbies just trying to learn more and correcting any mistakes. I have never lost chickens to sickness before, just to Raccoons getting in. Which we were able to fix. I just need help and I have ordered the Corid and hoping it comes in today. Plus seeing what the vet says. 🤞
