Hi all, I'm new to posting but have been reading BYC for about 6 months as we prepared to build our coop and run and welcomed our 6 new chicks. They're about 7 1/2 weeks now and enjoying life outside their brooder. I've learned a lot from reading the posts of experienced chicken keepers, and I look forward to more of the same!

This is a great place to get information and get questions answered...and have a little fun. Welcome. I am new, also. I started out with 8 four week old pullets, but now am down to 5. They are sixteen weeks old now and all seem well and happy. It has been a learning experience. Getting close to egg laying age.
