I was holding newborn baby number 3 when my husband asked if I would be up for getting chickens. I said, "Absolutely not!" I came home one day to a small coop and 5 chickens. We now love them and our operation had grown. We are working on adding ducks. We are also planning to build a new coop to better protect them. We live next to a state park and we have so many predators! It's just heartbreaking to lose them!
We have 9 hens (white leghorn, Rhode island red, and a few mixes). We have these 4 mystery chicks, and 20 day old speckled sussex we just got!

That's a lot of birds, for a person not wanting chickens!
