Hi my name is Chantelle I am community support worker in New Zealand and I have a flock that consists of 14 mixed breed laying girls 4 silkies with their Rooster that I have just acquired and 9 4week old chicks. I have only just started hatching these 9 were my first. Currently I have 28 in my incubator.
I have a bit of a query.... I acquired my silkies 2 days ago one of the mums was broody and sitting on 5 eggs which came home with me. 1 wasnt fertile and I have popped the others in the incubator when candled they are definitely growing but I was told a week and they are well over that my question is.... I'm not sure when to stop turning them will it matter if they are turned until they pip??
