Good morning. I am new to the BYC group.
I grew up on a farm so I have had chickens most of my life. My kids and I have started getting really fancy with our back yard chickens.
We currently have 43 chickens. The adults free range during the day and I have some teenagers who have started free ranging if I am home with them. All of my chickens are from My Pet Chicken. I love MPC. We built a chicken mansion this summer to accommodate my chicken math illness.
We have: buff and lavender orpingtons, easter eggers 3 standard and 1 bantam, silked easter egger, welsummers, frizzle cochin bantams, several colors of Polish hens and 2 roos, barred rock bantam, buff brahma bantam, light brahma standard, several colors of silkies including a beautiful blue hen and roo, australorp, splash marans, black copper marans, blue birchen marans, mottled houdan, porcelain d'uccle bantam, partridge olive egger, cream legbar, silver and golden laced wyandottes, and a speckled sussex.
I absolutely love watching my chickens. I have several lap chickens and a few who prefer to sit on my shoulder or on my head.
I frequently search for information about chickens and I have read several posts on BYC and I am so glad to now be a member. I love talking about chickens.
Thank you

Good morning! I got my ducklings from MPC but haven't talked to many who has as well so I am excited to know you're happy with your chicks from them. I'm debating on using them again for fertile eggs in the spring.
Glad you've joined! Hope to see you around the forum :)
