Last year none of my chickens would just come and sit on my lap. I am so happy in this year's flock several will come over and jump on my lap but none of them want to be picked up. They want to choose when to sit with me and my kids.

that is interesting!! I can pick mine up ( even my rooster) and they will cuddle and coo to me but have not had one jump in my lap! they will come talk to me , begging for treats! haha I love them though! so neat to raise them. I can't wait for them to start laying!!
