Hi! I live in SW Missouri and am a first time chicken owner. I have Production Red Chickens. I received my first 10 the end of April 2020. We had a run in with a few racoons the middle of July and lost 8 of the 10. I was deeply hurt, because they were all very friendly, would eat out of my hand and jump up and sit in my lap. It was pretty devastating. As the 2 I had left matured, I discovered that they were roosters! So, I ordered 10 more and they arrived the first week of August. I have 9 hens and a rooster.
Now, I am struggling with what to do with my first 2 roosters (attached pictures). They are very aggressive with my new group and I am afraid that they will kill the little rooster. So, I think I need to get rid of them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am very glad to be part of this community. I really enjoy the articles and they way everyone helps each other.
