They are very entertaining to watch. It nice to be able to raise them from babies and watch their development.

I'm from cental Alberta and it gets pretty darn cold!
2 cats, 1 dog - whom the chickens find fasinating. My 16 yr old son enjoys the chickens too

Hi, We are also fairly new to keeping chickens. We have got our mini flock as 4 week old chicks in July. It has been so much fun to watch the development of the pecking order. We have named the girls and keep them identified by the tail feathers. I chose the breed because of the cold and heat tolerance. I do think you are really going to like this forum. Welcome to the world of feather butts.
