Hello, I am new to raising chickens. Our five chicks are 4 weeks old. We have a Barred Rock, a Golden Laced Wyandotte, an Olive eggers, and two Green Queen Eggers. For several years I have been interested in having a few hens, and my granddaughters 4H club activites was the catalyst. They are not able to have chickens where they live, so I offered to house them. They actually live within walking distance, so they are over almost every day.

I am a recently retired nurse. I am very interested in keeping the chickens healthy, so this is an excellent forum in which to gain more information.

My experiecne with animals includes mice, rats, lizards, parakeets, cats and dogs.

Thank you for including me in this group.
