Hey! I'm neothix and I'm a new member here 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I wouldn't say I'm new to chickens; my mum is a breeder. But I've only recently started taking care of my own.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have two baby chicks at the moment, Sausage (probably a hen) and Schnitzel (probably a rooster).
(3) What breeds do you have?
Buff Orpington. They are so fluffy and big
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are a lot easier to take care of compared to other animals, but they are lovely companions. They are also very cute!!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love music - I play the piano, violin and the trombone. I also like developing games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Growing up I lived on a farm. My mum was a chicken breeder so we had many buff Orpingtons, pekins and silkies. We also had other animals such as cows, horses, birds, emu's and your typical cat and dog.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I signed up because I'm worried about my chicks health and I saw you can post questions about chickens on here. I decided this would be good for right now and in the long-term.
