Here are some pics of the new coop build. If you have some ideas please feel free to share them with me.I am not new to chickens but I am new to some of the new challenges that I am facing. I am sure with the help of the community here at BYC I will receive plenty of great advise.
I have 11 new chickens. 3 Buff Orpingtons, 4 Production Reds and 4 Barred Rock Hens. I mainly chose these birds for two reasons. Temperament and Egg Production. I am also partial to brown eggs. I purchased a coop with the aspirations of maybe 4 or 5 chickens. After thinking it over the majority won and we have 11. Not sure why I didn't do 12 but....anyway. I am in the beginning stages of building a new coop. It will be on the large size with room for a small run below that extends about 8'ft out the back side of the coop.
I am retired at 48 and am looking for good advise.
HELLO EVERYONE!!!
