Good morning, I am sorry for your loss. Get them locked up safe the best you can, it seems like you all need a long rest. Try not to over do it while you're recovering. They need you. Maybe you can ask a few friends to look over your current pen and see if there is a place that needs securing. Is it possible you can ask for help instead of fixing it yourself?

I don't have help but hopefully I can get it fixed soon. It isn't always easy doing everything yourself and this summer has been crazy. Broke 2 bones in my food, down 6 weeks, Had surgery, down another 6 weeks, then Covid and pneumonia and still trying to recover.

I need me a husband, lol. I will get back on my feet.

Oh my goodness, you and I must share that same rain cloud, there are some days it will continue raining all through the night ! LOL

Lately when life has been throwing me Lemon's I started fighting back, I grab the salt and Patron and within a few minutes things start look up! :gig :lau

IMO, If you think a skunk is the predator, DO NOT USE A BOX TRAP! Things can get real ugly quick if you don't know how to get them out of it without being sprayed.

I forget the brand name of it without looking, but we purchased a really inexpensive wireless baby monitor with night vision and sound and mounted it out in our one goat pen beside our coop. The camera and monitor both need 120V power but the signal is wireless. I am guessing it's all of 125 feet between them and it works amazingly very well and we have had it a year now.

We have the monitor sitting on the small table beside the bed and the audio picks up every little noise or commotion with the goats and or ducks and chickens. So around 4:30 am every morning like clockwork, we get to hear our Rooster do his thing. Thankfully his crowing is short lived and he stops! LOL
