I don't know anything about sapphire gems but I'm sure your rir pullets are mixes. In the long run, it won't matter unless you wanted pure breeds. I personally like interesting mixes and it is easier to tell individuals apart.

Hello everyone
I have had chicken for just over a year now. Though I just got my rooster 3 months ago. I started my flock out small with 6 hens I got as chicks. They were to be RIR though I'm pretty sure one is mix with something else and the people I got my rooster said he is a Sapphire Gem he doesn't look like the pictures I see online. I love the eggs they taste better than store eggs and my kids will now only eat eggs from our chicken's. We are a big motocross family as all three kids race.
