Hi everyone! I'm new to BYC, but not new to chickens. I've had chickens for around 10 years now. I sometimes have more, sometimes less, but I hover around 50-60 birds. I have bantam cochins, silkies, Japanese and large fowl orpingtons, barred rocks, Polish, and Easter Eggers. I have basically a grab bag of breeds. I live in Georgia (US). My favorite part of raising chickens is to see each individual personality develop. I've introduced my young nieces to chickens and that is a big joy for me to see kids taking responsibility for animals. I also enjoy gardening, canning, building and being outdoors. I have quail, horses and dogs in addition to the chickens. I found BYC by accident, using Google to search search a particular issue I was having at the time. I hope to be able to expand my knowledge and share with other people in the chicken community!
