Hello all, I’m a new soon-to-be chicken owner and beginner homesteader in Southern New England. I’ve just about finished building my coop, and am getting ready to build the run. I’m planning on having 6-8 to start, primarily Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds. I want to be more self sufficient, and hope chickens will help in some small ways

WELCOMEEE!!! your coop is so cute!! Post some pics when you get your chickies! I put hardware cloth at the bottom of my run, outside, extending 1ft out so nothing can dig into it. Just a tip if you needed, good luck

Hello hello from Manitoba, Canada! I get excited for people expecting their new flock, as I can't have anything but quail here in Winnipeg. They're trying to get chickens accepted here in the city, but it's not looking very good
