Hi everyone. I’ve been a little active on BYC and I finally have taken the time to introduce myself. I’m from central Florida and I am raising my second flock. Unfortunately, my first flock had to be rehomed several years ago and now we are free to have as many as we want at our new home
I started with four buff orphington hens and then got three gray silkies. The buffs are eleven months old and the silkies are four months old. I have eight rare breed chicks and they are two weeks old. I also have a broody hen sitting on seven mystery eggs that my sister found
She will taking those chicks to her house per my wife.
If I could have it my way I’d have many, many more chickens but for now 15 is plenty. The more breeds I read about the more breeds I want
I’m glad I stumbled upon this site. Now I can share my enthusiasm and love for my chickadees and hopefully give and receive useful information!
