same here, possibly rain this afternoon, had bad wind storms yesterday...

I think the East Coast is getting what we had a few days ago. Rain turn to snow. I'm originally from Upstate New York (Syracuse area) and don't miss the weather there. Colorado weather is hard to beat. Snow one day next day 75. And we don't get much snow on the plains it all stays up in the mountains LOL!

I have 8 coming. Plymouth Rocks, Brahma Lights, White Cochins and Easter Eggers 2 of each

Any advice?

I have had Plymouth rocks and Easter eggers, loved them both. I would love to try Cochins, don't the have feathered legs?

If they have feathered legs, you will have to make sure you keep the coop dry, you don't want their feet to stay wet...

Handle them a fair amount while they are young, that way they won't be so flighty when they get old...otherwise you will figure out everything else you need from the other folks here...

Have you ever tried sand? Just curious. I been seeing a lot of different opinions on what is best to keep dry.
