Hi All!

My husband and I started raising chickens this year. We have 8 total so far - 2 Black Australorps, 2 Cinnamon Queens, 1 Sapphire Gem, 1 ISA Brown, and 2 Ameraucanas which are more likely to be Easter Eggers from my research. They're all supposed to be pullets. We shall see.

We recently moved back to Missouri after living in the U.P. (upper peninsula of Michigan) for the past 10 years. My husband enjoys bushcraft and blacksmithing. I like crafts, making soap, and raising animals.

We are looking forward to the knowledge we'll gain from this group.

I'm by no means an expert on soap making, but I've made a few bars from different recipes. In fact, I plan to make coconut oil shampoo bars for my dad to try.

Have you ever used goats milk? I'm curious to know how the coconut oil one turns out. I'd love to try my hand at that one.
