(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I am an aspiring chicken owner.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None, but I hope to get chickens soon!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I'm interested in breeds that are kid-friendly and prolific egg layers.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
When I get chickens, I hope to receive lots of eggs and help my kids have lots of great experiences with chickens.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy reading and playing (a.k.a. learning) the piano and oboe.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My family consists of me, my husband, and our three wonderful children. I totally have favorites (but I don't tell the kids that)! My favorite is my eldest daughter because she is the smartest and the most beautiful. My other two kids are ok, but they're kind of stupid and ugly. We have 3 horses and all of them belong to my eldest daughter. I am a stay-at-home mama.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found out about byc from my eldest daughter, and now I like her even more.
