I have a new rooster that unfortunately has roundworm and i cant find a y ferbendazole for chickens in my area - which is what seems to recommended to deworm- -any suggestions? i have had him separated since we got him 3 days ago

Welcome to BYC. You can find SafeGuard at Tractor Supply or another farm store for horses and other livestock. It can be used for chickens.
