Hi! I am a chicken grandma, because my 12 year old says she’s their mom! Anyway, thanks for letting me join! I live in Brooksville, FL and have 21 hens and one rooster. I have been learning from this group for a long time, but registered today after my sweet Evie passed away this morning. I’ve had chickens for about a year and a half and it seems you can never know enough about them! I look forward to learning more from this community!

I'm sorry about Evie. Do you know why she died?

Thank you! She started breathing heavy yesterday and it got worse today, no other symptoms, died within 24 hours. I posted a question about it on here to see if anyone knew, I was thinking maybe gapeworm, someone said it could have been. I’m so heartbroken thinking that she suffocated.
