Hi there, I'm Valerie and I'm a backyard chicken owner since April 2021. My flock was originally 4, 3 hens and a rooster (all buff orpingtons), but I had to re-home Mr. Fred due to not having as many hens as he needed. He also wasn't fond of my husband.

I've since increased my flock with 3 more hens, 2 blue australorpes and an Easter egger.

I'm grateful to have found this forum. I read the questions and answered often. I love my backyard flock and am looking forward to expanding very soon.
