Hi, and welcome to BYC! It's so nice to meet you! :)
Thank you! I started with nine laying hens two years ago. A friend of my daughter was getting rid of her chickens so she just gave them to us. They have been a lot of fun and it’s nice to have the fresh eggs and the manure for the garden. I give away a lot of eggs to friends and family. I now have coworkers asking to buy. Getting to the point where I can’t keep up with demand so I would like to add a few to my flock. Two of the original chickens were blue australorp . They are so pretty, friendly, and such good layers. Those are the type I have my heart set on. I lost one of them this summer to the heat. They were about two or three years old when I got them so pretty sure it was just old age and heat. Anyway, the one BA I have left is very maternal. I thought if I could find some fertilized BA eggs it would be good for her to let her hatch them.
:welcome

Hi, do you currently have chickens or other poultry? Even if you're just considering the possibility, you've come to the right place!
